1. WHAT IS BEPANTHEN CREAM AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?


Bepanthen Cream contains the active ingredient dexpanthol in a highly absorbant, slightly fatty emulsion. The active substance dexpanthenol is converted in the skin into the vitamin pantothenic acid and supports the development and regeneration of the skin from within. The cream has a soothing and cooling effect thanks to its high moisture content. Bepanthen Cream is used for treating overstressed and irritated


but intact skin associated with: Redness and sunburn


Pressure marks


Rough areas of skin (e.g. on the hands, elbows or feet)


Mild burns


2. WHEN SHOULD BEPANTHEN CREAM NOT TO BE USED? You should not use Bepanthen Cream if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to one or more of the ingredients in the product (see composition).


Take special care with Bepanthen Cream In the following situations:


No special precautions are required provided that the product is used as directed. Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you:


suffer from any other illnesses


have allergies or


are taking or externally applying any other medicines (including those you purchase yourself).


Use of Bepanthen Cream during pregnancy or while breastfeeding Bepanthen Cream may be used during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.


3. HOW TO USE BEPANTHEN CREAM


Apply Bepanthen Cream once to several times daily as required. Always use the dosage described in this leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think that the effect of the medicine is too weak or too strong, please consult your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.


4. WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS


The following side effects may occur when using Bepanthen Cream:


Side effects of Bepanthen Cream have only rarely been observed


to date. Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you notice

any unusual skin reactions.


If you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.


5. HOW TO STORE BEPANTHEN CREAM


Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.


Do not use after the expiry date which is stated on the crimped end of the tube and the box.


Storage conditions


Do not store above 25°C


6. CONTENTS OF THE PACK AND OTHER INFORMATION


What Bepanthen® CREAM contains 1 g of cream contains 50 mg of the active substance dexpanthenol.


The other ingredients are: phenoxyethanol (Ph. Eur.), (3R)-3- hydroxy-4,4-dimethyloxolan-2-one, hexadecyldihydrogen- phosphate, potassium salt, lanolin, propylene glycol, cetyl alcohol (Ph.Eur.), stearyl alcohol (Ph. Eur.), hexadecan-1-ol, purified water.


What Bepanthen® CREAM looks like and contents of the pack Bepanthen® CREAM is a white or slightly whitish-yellow, homogeneous cream and is available in tubes of 30g and 100g.


Not all pack Sizes may be marketed.
